In the beginning

It was a joke at first.

Early 2016...
Me: "Can you believe the Presidential candidates we have this year? What a mess."
Hubby: "Let's move to Costa Rica!!"
Me: "Haha. Very funny. I wish!"

November 2, 2016
Me/Hubby: "What in the actual f***?"
"What happened?"
"Are you SEEING this??"

November 3, 2016 
*Day of Mourning/Shock*

November 4, 2016
Me: "So.... Costa Rica?"
Hubby: "Anywhere but here."

After days and days of research, deliberation and exploration of our options, we decided on trying out Belize!

Here are some of the main reasons why:

1. English is the "official" language. Yes, I know we will need to at least learn Spanish. But it will be an easier transition.
2. We LOVE tropical climates. Happy to never see/shovel snow again.
3. It is not an island... which means cheaper to ship goods, easier to escape Zombies.
4. Perfect timing for Denver rental market.
5. Perfect timing for 9-year-old daughter to make the adjustment.
6. Belize is safe and open to visitors from the US.


So, this ball has been rolling for a few months and we are just about out of here. More to come!
