I am not a fan of spiders. They creep me out. So many legs and those eyes.... whooo **shudder**
I understand they eat other bugs. They still give me the heebie jeebies.
So it was a pleasant surprise to see that our friendly neighborhood bug-eaters are more of the 4-legged variety than the 8-legged ones. Can you spot him??
The happy little geckos evoke a semi-startled "Oh my, there you are. Hey cutie!" as opposed to the "Oh sweet Jeebus, please don't let it get me, please don't let it get me... aiieeeeeeEEK!" outburst that usually follows a spider sighting near me.
Cailey has been LOVING the fresh fruit... especially the cantaloupe. We even have a mango tree on the property... and 'tis the season for mangoes... MMM HMMM

Crazy looking "golden" beetle. Looked like a real-live Egyptian artifact. |
In other, non-buggy related news:
We recently ate at a local hotel (like, 2 lots away from where we are staying) called the Almond Tree. All had yummy breakfast with fresh fruit and even taught the new bartender how to make a Bloody Mary! Pretty tasty!
